This dad's hack for teaching a bub how to walk? So smart.

How to help your baby learn to walk without hurting your back. 😇
What do you get when you cross a very tall man, a small toddling baby and a hula hoop?

No. It's not the latest Cirque Du Soleil show.

It's a very, very clever life hack.

A Canadian man has shared a video on YouTube in which he shows parents how to teach their baby how to walk without hurting their backs.

Do you remember holding yourself at an awkward angle, bending over to take the hands of your just-about-ready-to-walk-on-her-own baby so she can stand up and find her legs?

Height is a hindrance when it comes to this task
The task can, somewhat surprisingly, be quite hard on the back and the taller you are, the worse it gets.

In the video, posted by Gerry Bell, a very tall dad is seen dangling a hula hoop in front of a newly toddling baby.

The baby grasps the bottom of the hoop and uses it to hoist itself to it's feet.

The man, who we're assuming is the child's father and is Gerry Bell- the owner of the YouTube channel - though we can't confirm this, then helps the baby walk down the hallway while the baby continues to hold the hula hoop.

No more bending down to help baby. You grab the hula hoop, stand up straight and the baby gets all the benefits of regular practice.

Genius, huh?
